This privacy policy aims to openly and transparently explain how we process your data.

3. The purpose and justification for processing personal data, and the type of information saved

We collect personal and customer data in order to serve our customers, recruit employees, and to manage and develop customer and employment relationships.

The data we save includes your name, address information, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, date of birth, personal identity number/business ID, image, gender, drivers license, the car in use, military/civilian service, marital status, education, profession, special characteristics of work duties, current employer, previous employers, start and end times of employment with reviews, language skills, wishes for the job applied for, the salary requirement, information related to the start and end of employment.

4. Access to data and duration of processing

As a rule, personal data is processed for as long as the agreement for which we need the data is in force. We enter the data in the register as we receive it from the data subject, and update it when the data subject notifies the data controller of changes.

The data submitted via forms on the Alfaroc.fi website will be automatically deleted within six month of submission. We delete unnecessary personal data from our customer register at six month intervals.

Right of inspection

You have the right to check which personal data we have saved about you. If you find the data to be inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to rectify or complement it.

Right to object

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data if you feel that we have processed it unlawfully or without legitimate right to do so.

Direct marketing prohibition

You have the right to prohibit us from using your personal data for direct marketing. We will never sell or otherwise disclose your personal data to other parties so that they can use it for direct marketing to you.

We purchase online marketing services from, for instance, Facebook and Google. However, these companies will never have access to your personal data, and such advertising is not direct marketing but it is based on cookies.

Right to erasure

If you feel that some of your personal data is not necessary for us to perform our duties, you have the right to ask us to erase such data. We will process your request and either erase your data or notify you of a justified reason for not being able to erase the data.

Right to object

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman if you feel that the way we process your personal data violates the data protection legislation in force.

6. Regular sources of data

Personal data is obtained from potential customers/jobseekers/employees based on their consent during a visit to our website or via some other personal or digital interaction.

7. Disclosure of data

The data is not disclosed outside Alfaroc Logistics Oy for marketing purposes.

Data may selectively be made available to a third party commissioned by the controller in order to fulfil our statutory obligations. The ownership of the data is not transferred from the controller to a third party, and the third party is only entitled to use the data to the extent necessary to perform the assignment.

8. Transfer of data outside the EU

Whenever possible, we have chosen to store your data in secure data centers in Europe.

As a rule, the servers are located in Finland. Some service providers may store back-up copies of data outside of the EU/EEA, such as in the United States. The data is backed up in order to ensure data security in the event of failure of the main servers.

9. Principles of register security

The security of your personal data is important for us, and we apply the following precautions to ensure the security of your data.

Access to our system is restricted, and requires submitting a user name and password. The systems are also protected by firewalls and other technical means.

The data in the registers stored in the system is only accessible to certain, appointed employees of the controller with the right to use the data.

Access to the registers is restricted by user-specific identifiers, passwords and permissions.

The registers are stored in a computer located on a server in a server room to which unauthorized entry is barred.

The data in the registers is located in locked and guarded premises.

The registers are regularly backed up.
